Vitreous Carbon
|
| |
Vitreous Carbon shares similar properties to glass, fragility, closed microporosity and impervious to gases. These features combine to offer exceptional resistance to general chemical agents. Only Oxygen above 600C and oxidants may attack Vitreous Carbon.

Atomic Absorbtion Spectroscopy - Furnace Tubes
|
| |
This product is one of the key replaceable components at the heart of all Spectroscopy analysis equipment. To support the diverse fields of analysis this equipment covers, we produce a range of tubes to suit the majority of currently available machines in two material options.
1. Ultra pure, high-density graphite.
2. Ultra pure, high-density graphite + pyrocarbon coating.
With the pyrocarbon layer applied to the internal and external faces both surfaces become impervious to liquids and vapours. In addition the chemical inertia of pyrocarbon limits the formation of stable carbides and increases life.
As a consumable item our product offers a cost effective alternative to the OEM. The list of machines covered by our standard parts is large and continues to grow so please contact us with your requirements.

Graphite Crucibles - for gas content in metals
|
| |
Gas dosing crucibles another regularly used consumable in analysis equipment is another area of specialisation for the Carbone Lorraine Groupe. The grade of graphite employed for this product has been developed particularly for this application to provide consistant results.
Again we manufacture a long list of crucible types covering the majority of analysis equipment available and continue to add more. Please contact us with your requirements
